Chartered Accountant – Balwyn – Flexible Hours

Our client is a well-established accounting firm in Balwyn, known for delivering high-quality professional services to a loyal and diverse client base. They are now seeking an experienced Chartered Accountant to join their team and support the ongoing growth of the practice.

About the Role
You will assist clients in meeting their statutory obligations and financial goals through accurate financial reporting, analysis and advisory support. This role involves preparing financial statements and tax returns, reviewing work prepared by junior staff, and providing timely, relevant advice to clients and colleagues.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare financial statements, P&L reports, balance sheets and depreciation schedules
• Analyse client financial data and respond to queries
• Prepare tax returns and associated documentation for lodgement
• Review and mentor junior staff, providing feedback and guidance
• Support clients in adopting and improving accounting systems
• Prepare timesheets, WIP analysis and draft billing
• Identify opportunities for additional services and process improvements

About You

• CA qualified (or equivalent)
• Strong technical accounting and tax knowledge
• Excellent communication and client service skills
• High attention to detail and ability to prioritise deadlines
• Experience supporting or reviewing junior team members
